If any phrase characterizes the hospitality and tourism industry today it would probably be “constantly changing.” Worldwide recessionary conditions, globalization, industry-wide focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility are just some of the forces converging and resulting in widespread change. The result is an industry that requires future leaders in hospitality and tourism to be well versed in past, current, and emerging management practices. To this end, this course in Hotel Operations features both historical perspectives and discussions of new trends in a variety of sectors. Our goal is to provide students with the most up-to-date content with the intent that the next generation of hospitality leaders will be fully prepared to great the challenges of this dynamic industry.

Set out in a series of 4 focused modules, this course is designed to provide the students with in-depth insight into the practice of Hotel Operations.

With topics ranging from Career Planning, External forces affecting the Industry, Managing Human Resources and Financial Controls to Planning and Leadership & Directing – 4 Weeks of part time or 2 ½ Weeks of full-time study will provide an excellent base to kick start a career.

The training covers about 2.5 weeks of full-time studies.
